What is your first memory of horses?

Riding in the saddle with my father as a toddler.

When was the first time you got bucked off?

I was 6 years old, riding double with a friend. Something spooked the horse; it broke in two and I broke my arm. My friend walked away without a scratch.

If you weren’t a horse trainer, what would you be?

It is all I’ve ever wanted to be, but growing up, my mother really wanted me to be a novelist. (She’s an Honors English teacher.)

What did you want to be when you were a child?

Lion-o from the cartoon ThunderCats.

What is a must have at horse shows?

A sense of humor.

What do you love most about horses?

From a training aspect, approaching each individual horse as a puzzle and attempting to solve that puzzle.

What is your favorite Starbucks drink?

It depends on the season:

Summer: Mocha Coconut Frappuccino (I’m told they’re bringing it back!) and the Iced Caramel Macchiato

Winter: Pumpkin Spiced Latte.

What is your favorite movie?

Growing up near Hollywood, I developed an appreciation for many genres. I can’t say I actually have a favorite, but I try to see everything that gets nominated during awards season.

If your life were a song, what would it be?

Lose Yourself by Eminem.

What is your go-to meal at horse shows?

In a time crunch, I’m a big fan of the cinnamon pecan rolls from the Sweet Shop!

Where would you go on your dream vacation?

In this line of work, ANY vacation is a dream vacation

What are your favorite Noble Outfitters products and why?

  • 4 Aces Knife – because every cowboy/girl needs a good knife.
  • Hay Bucker Pro Work Gloves – They are durable, yet supple. They protect my hands from the elements but still allow me to have “feel,” for the reins.
  • Signature Garment Bags – organization is a must in the barn and at shows. The garment bags keep our show clothes clean and organized no matter where we are.
